  1. It is especially disgusting that churches such as the United Methodist Church, are boycotting Israel. Are they gonna pull out the Jews killed Jesus nonsense now? These people are living in the dark ages.

  6. I am very surprised that Methodist Church and Presbyterian are "anti-Israel"! Are you guys reading the bible?

    Comment by Lina Deza — January 31, 2014 @ 9:08 AM

  7. I cannot believe these churches are boycotting Israel
Do they think if Israel did not belong to the Jews they would be allowed to visit their holy sites

    Comment by Cynthia Berman — January 31, 2014 @ 2:05 PM

  8. It is awfully hard to walk when you shoot yourself in the foot. The Church is rooted in Israel. Salvation is from the Jews. We are grafted in to Israel. We are grafted in to the holy stump – Israel. The root supports the tree, not the other way around.

  9. …how can someone occupy his own land…

    Comment by Avraham Avi Hecht — January 31, 2014 @ 2:14 PM

  10. This entire BDS campaign makes absolutely no sense. It seems their goal is to to destroy everyone.

    Comment by David Farber — January 31, 2014 @ 2:18 PM

  11. …as a church they should know the bible especially the old testament
where it is clearly written to whom the land belongs to
and that the one who they believe in created that land
is someone missing the point… <3

    Comment by Avraham Avi Hecht — January 31, 2014 @ 2:21 PM

  12. I have a simple solution. THe State of Israel should close down all of the churches that promote the BDS mantra, and do not allow any of its members the opportunity to visit Israel under any circumstances.

  14. Ask them what was the first thing the Jordians did in 1948 when they captured the Old City of Jersalem was Turn the Jews out. The BDS make me sick

    Comment by Stanley Roth — January 31, 2014 @ 3:55 PM

  15. By cursing Israel, these BDS churches are cursing themselves. THey will not survive.

    Comment by David Brownfield — January 31, 2014 @ 4:10 PM

  16. Not only did they expel 20,000 Jews, many of them whose ancestors had lived there uninterruptedly since before Christ, but within the first 48 hours they bulldozed the Jewish Quarter in an attempt to erase Jewish connection to the area, destroyed 59 synagogues and the Jordanian general boasted, and it is documented, that "we have ensured there will not be a Jewish presence in Jerusalem for the next 1,000 years. "

    Comment by Adrienne Finberg Judes — January 31, 2014 @ 4:22 PM

  17. Adrienne Finberg Judes Thank you for making a better statement than me.

    Comment by Stanley Roth — January 31, 2014 @ 4:24 PM

  18. A Christian is a follower of Christ. As such they would never hate Israel or the Jews since he is a Jew . So those so called churches that are anti Israel are not true Christians by any sense of the word.

    Comment by Karen Bryant — January 31, 2014 @ 4:35 PM

  19. These 'Church' groups are not of G-d. They follow the false doctrine of 'Replacement' theology. As such they will share in the plagues of Revelation chapter 18. What you see here is the digression of Christianity, a great falling away as ignorant Elders lead them into sin against God!

    Comment by Floyd Ray Looker — January 31, 2014 @ 5:46 PM

  20. I don't believe there is any peace in occupied land either. As a Native American of Cherokee/Lakota Sioux parents, I'd like all those occupiers against Israel to get the heck off my ancestral land…. . before you go, knock down those offensive faces you erected on the sacred mountains of our Holy Land, the Black Hills of Dakota. (Those supporting Israel may stay a while longer…) Hypocrites.

    Comment by Jackie Rozell — January 31, 2014 @ 6:35 PM

  21. Not good to be on the wrong side of G-d! Israel and his chosen are the apple of his eye don’t ya know…Bad to learn this bit of truth the hard way! xo

    Comment by Julia Bowman — January 31, 2014 @ 6:37 PM

  22. What church? Maybe a cult. The true Church is for Israel.

Comment by Melva Ann Brock Gambrel — January 31, 2014 @ 7:36 PM

  23. what an understatement to call them merely “Anti-Israel”!

    Comment by Lee Friedman — January 31, 2014 @ 7:59 PM

  24. God's sovereign election of Israel is unconditional and unchangeable because it is rooted in His immutable nature and expressed in the unilateral eternal Abrahamic covenant .

    Comment by Marcella Overby — January 31, 2014 @ 8:43 PM

  25. That's what happens to those who don't read the Holy scritures

  26. True Christians pray for Israel and support her.

    Comment by Linda Catron-Balis — January 31, 2014 @ 8:47 PM

  27. The Methodist Church and Presbyterians are NOT 'anti-Israel', groups within those churches are. It's like a pro-choice group within the Catholic church does not make the church pro-choice.

    Comment by William D. Silverthorn — January 31, 2014 @ 9:31 PM

  28. I am a Presbyterian Pastor and totally oppose the noisy and obsessive anti-Israel agitators in my denomination. In fact, when the BDS loudmouths targeted Sabra for a boycott, I decided from then on to buy nothing but Sabra brand hummus! And now I'll be saving money to buy a soda stream machine eventually.

    Comment by John Erthein — January 31, 2014 @ 9:41 PM

  29. Have the church-people all got it upside down? First of all: check the history around the former British Palestine, the UN declaration on dividing the land, the Arab refute, and the attack on embryonic Israel. The so-called West-bank is genuinely lost in a war imposed on Israel. Judea and Samaria shall explicitly be annexed by the Jewish State of Israel. It’s called One State Solution!

    Comment by Kjeld Hesselmann — January 31, 2014 @ 9:51 PM

  30. Please, please don't lump all Christians with the above activities. It is extremely clear that the land belongs to Israel. I, as many thousands of fellow Christians, would uphold these beliefs entirely.

    Comment by Jane Huff McCoy — January 31, 2014 @ 10:30 PM

  31. It's too bad the SodaStream is so costly (at least to me — fixed income); it it weren't, I buy one (or two) just to jerk these clown's chain.

    Comment by David Neubart — February 1, 2014 @ 1:08 AM

  32. I believe that the Methodist Church and Presbyterian; the Churches B D S ,they all Know what they read in the Bible; they probably do that because the are giving money from Arab donors to incite the Christians against Israel also ; because this is the Promised land Given By GOD to the Jews. Israel should not allow these kind of people to enter the Promised Land.

    Comment by Jacques Daniel — February 1, 2014 @ 6:04 AM

  33. I am not surprised I was booted out of the United church of Christ because I was too vocal about them ordaining homosexuals as ministers, as when G-d delivered the Israelites out of slavery, He drove out other nations before them, who practiced abominable and detestable things in the eyes of the Lord. So I objected to them preaching it is okay, which is against the commandment in Leviticus 18 verse 22, I believe this is why they are against Israel, as the laws were given to them, and they dont want to hear about laws, only that God loves everyone which is false as why would G-d say Jacob I loved but Esau I hated?"

    Comment by Sientje Seinen — February 1, 2014 @ 7:06 AM

  34. The problem I have with this article is that it seems to represent the view of the majority of Bible believing Christians. Let it be known throughout the whole earth. We Christians who know the God of the Bible will never turn our back on the Jew and on Israel, We will support the current state of Israel and will declare the borders of that state are outlined in the Bible to be the true borders of Israel. Every Islamic Palestinian or Son of Esau living on this covenant land will experience only violence, natural disasters and disease. You cannot change the divine law around the land that was given to Isaac and his seed by the Creator. The Lord God of Israel will rise up and chase his enemies irrespective of where they come from. His hand is on His people and His covenant land.

    Comment by Anonymous — February 1, 2014 @ 9:52 AM

  35. Sientje Seinen The Lord sees the end from the beginning. What is appalling is the hate by Islam against Israel. This hate comes from the seed of Esau because he sold his birthright for a plate of soup. His logic is if I get rid of the Jew I then qualify for and get back my birthright. Too Late now. The Lord detests the attitude of hate they have for the children of Isaac. He sees the nature of the devil in the children of Islam. Kill, hate and destroy, it is in their nature.

  36. saraph , what is happening now its all been prophesied in the books of Revelation, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah! May God give us the courage and strength to hold on till the end!

    Comment by Lina Deza — February 1, 2014 @ 11:25 AM

  37. The thing is that we need people who care like yourself, to get out in the streets and say that in the public domain. With only 13/14million Jews in the world and over 1,4 BILLLION Moslems, with even as little as 10% who are reportedly radical, thats still a huge amount more than the Jewish population. Also, with the majority of oil being in Muslim country's, and especially with the fact that oil costs $14 per barrel to process and being sold for …is it $100 per barrel now, the

    Comment by Adrienne Finberg Judes — February 1, 2014 @ 11:50 AM

  38. So with theae facts about oil production it is clear that Arab countries have enormous financial resources to draw on that we certainly do not. We need and appreciate your assistance.

    Comment by Adrienne Finberg Judes — February 1, 2014 @ 11:53 AM

  39. Stanley, thanks for your comment below. We need to educate ourselves on the facts in order to counter the fraud being perpetrated, once again, against the Jewish people. Stolen land claims against Israel – the area previously known as "Palestine" extended from the Mediterranean Sea to the end of what is today Jordan and consisted of a land mass of +-114,000square kilometers. Of that, Israel today consists of just 22,000 square kilometres and Jordan is 92,000square kilometres. When you add up the square kilometres of just the 12 Arab/Muslim countriea surrounding Israel, they have a total of over 300,000,000 – yes, that is three hundred MILLION square kilometres. Now if you go back in history one sees that there we not Syrians, Jordanians (Jordan was eatablished in 1946), etc, there were only "Arabs" and the "Palestinians", like my friends grandfather, were Jewish. Yasser Arafat, the "Palestinian" leader, was born in Egypt.

    Comment by Adrienne Finberg Judes — February 1, 2014 @ 12:32 PM

  40. Kjeld -You cannot annex what you once had. You reclaim it. It was Jordan who annexed Judea and Samaria in 1948

    Comment by Stanley Roth — February 1, 2014 @ 4:30 PM

  41. Those who are against us do not bother about the facts. Remember fiction books out outsell other books.

    Comment by Stanley Roth — February 1, 2014 @ 4:34 PM

  42. Special attention to Israel while ignoring real violation of human rights by other countries is clearly antisemitism. We are subjected to charges that are usually false and pale in comparison to human rights violations by several dozan members of the world community.(Egypt,Iran,Syria,Hamas,China,Iran,etc,etc.The real problem is simply that Israel is the Jew in the community of nations. Has Norway boycotted Chinese companies operating in Tibet?? The world needs to be aware that there has never been a state of Palestine with Jerusalem as it;s capital. Israel is the only country that has had its capital as Jerusalem. How can the world believe that it belongs to the Palestine. ?? It was part of Jordan. There has never been a Palestine until after the 67 war !! Stuart Oppenheimer,MD

    Comment by Stuart Oppenheimer — February 2, 2014 @ 6:42 AM

  43. Christian antipathy—What's new?

    Comment by Stuart Oppenheimer — February 2, 2014 @ 11:36 AM

  44. Adrienne, I don't know who you are but thank you for helping to educate us concerning Israel. Although we support, we are often so ignorant as to the History and our government is not taking the stand we wish they were taking. I will take yur advice and try to be more vocal. I do try to buy Jewish products because as a consumer I don't have to question the integrity but I should do more. We are all in this together, aren't we? Have a blessed day.

    Comment by Jane Huff McCoy — February 2, 2014 @ 3:45 PM

  45. Right on Bill Scott. Stay attached to the VINE everyone. Time is running out for the haters. GOD'S about to clean house.

    Comment by Dixie Vangelisti — February 2, 2014 @ 7:16 PM

  46. The United Methodist Church is NOT boycotting Israel. There are vocal activists in the liberal wing of the UMC who have a strong platform to be heard. As you can see in the article, there are other United Methodists such as Mark Tooley and those affiliated with the IRD who stand for Israel and oppose them.

    Comment by Jane L. Bonner — February 4, 2014 @ 2:48 AM

  47. You should just bear in mind that the Christian Zionist lobby is a powerful friend of AIPAC. This is just the other side of the coin- can't have one without the other I suppose.

    Comment by Stephen Ballantine — February 4, 2014 @ 10:50 PM

  48. You're joking right? Christian Zionists/AIPAC control US Congress…..

    Comment by Stephen Ballantine — February 4, 2014 @ 10:53 PM

  49. Hi Jane, thank you for your comments. It is so important for us all to stand up and support democratic principles. Steven Harper, his FM Kenney and others are examples we can all follow. I work together with a number of Christian Zionist groups to educate and inform people. Buying Israeli goods is a wonderful way of supporting Israel. You might want to look at some pro-Israel internet sites such as Honest Reporting, The Algemeiner, Israelly Cool. You will find a lot of info. Have a super day.

    Comment by Adrienne Finberg Judes — February 5, 2014 @ 5:21 AM

  50. But you're part and parcel of the denomination, supporting the evil with your and your congregation's dollars, and getting fat on it yourself, you're a hypocrite and will end up as all hypocrites do…
