Yael Cohen, 18.5, sustained external injuries in her stomach and legs, after being gored and thrown across a fence by a vigorous, young Bull. She says that usually the young bulls are afraid of humans and wouldn't dare, but this one came up and began to ram her against the fence.

But the arriving cops ended up arresting the girl's father on suspicion of attacking the Arab boy.

After the Israeli Supreme Court struck down the Tal Law, which sought to encourage over time the inclusion of Haredim in military service, the court, for all intents and purposes, has required the state to draft some 60,000 Haredi youths this August. As Knesset factions are preparing for new, early national elections, Haredi enlistment will likely serve as the battle field where many voters' choices will be made.

A major faux pas involving non-kosher hen's meat is rocking the Presidential Residence in Jerusalem. According to Ma'ariv, the event's caterer purchase a large quantity of meat on Thursday morning to replace meat that had been spoiled. The new meat came from a non-kosher butcher shop in the Arab village of Abu Gosh, which stays open on Shabbat and sells sea food.

Egypt's decision to halt its already erratic natural gas supply to Israel was not, as the Egyptians claimed, due only to financial disagreements. Shareholders in East Mediterranean Gas Co have stated: "Any attempts to characterize this dispute as a mere commercial one is misleading." The supply of natural gas, its absence, has become a worrisome measure of the very future of Israel's peace treaty with Egypt.
