The online Irish website, TheJournal, reports that the Israeli embassy in Dublin was evacuated early Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious package was discovered. Hailing from India, El Salvador, New Zealand, Brazil, and South Africa, the participants, ranging from their early 20s to 30s, with a background in entrepreneurial work, were part of an international conference called S.E.E. Israel. Organized by Jerusalem’s Hebrew University students as part of a StandWithUs public diplomacy training program, the conference connected the international visitors with young Israeli social innovators, enterprises and organizations.

The Taliban fired rockets into the American Bagram Air Field outside Kabul in Afghanistan Monday night, damaging the plane serving the chairman of the U.S. joint chiefs of staff Gen. Martin Dempsey. The general was out on a visit at the time of the hit, a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition said on Tuesday. Two maintenance workers were lightly harmed by shrapnel from the two rockets, coalition spokesman Jamie Graybeal said.

After Egypt has dispatched tanks into the northern Sinai area over the past few weeks, as part of its attempt to combat Islamist terror cells in the peninsula, the Prime Minister’s office has decided that this must stop. Using the White House, Netanyahu sent a sharp message to Cairo to withdraw the tanks immediately.

Here's a story about pots rebuking kettles over the issue of blackness: Al Ahram reported on Monday that the extremist Salafist Nour Party will be sending a delegation to the Sinai Peninsula to "raise religious awareness and combat extremism." Among those going are the Salafist Calling movement’s head Yasser Borhami and its spokesperson Abdel-Moneim El-Shahat, both of whom have made a number of controversial statements in the past.

The poll was also surprising in the diversity it found in the Israeli Defense Forces. 1,200 of the reservists were from the Republic of Georgia, 720 originated from Iran, 30 from the Philippines, and 4 from Bahrain. The study indicates a rarely seen picture of reserve duty, where minorities and immigrants play a larger role than previously thought. A total of 19% of reserve soldiers were born outside Israel.

Several fires started in the Jerusalem forests this summer, but only a few were started over nationalistic sentiments.
